That’s quite an ambitious production to stage, Buggs. I am impressed. I hope they follow it up with Buggy and the Great Glass Elevator, which, I felt, was the superior book.

Transcript:

Mr Bugg is rocking a tall top hat and carrying a cane, clearly about to break into song and dance. He is standing on the bank of what is unquestionably a chocolate river, complete with waterfall. Two small trees dot his side of the river. On the other side, Mrs Bugg is waving her arms in a gesture of … something. She stands between two quite small trees, two candy canes growing out of the ground, and one large, fruit-bearing tree.

I guess they thought they were continuing the opening season at their theatre, but I am officially now ded from cute.

Transcript:

Mr and Mrs Bugg are cosplaying as Wall-E and Eve, because of reasons. They are as cute as all get-out.

The text reads: “Hello Dolly … uh, the Buggs learned about this from Wall-E.”

continuing their inaugural season

I kind of think the Buggs would do any play that includes pirates, weaponry or a big ship. This one was clearly tailor-made!

Transcript:

Mr and Mrs Bugg stand on the main deck of a large sailing ship: Two huge masts and four square sails are visible, as are five cannon portholes and a poop deck. They are each waving a cutlass, but have chosen different weapons for their dual-wield: Mr Bugg is brandishing a musket (which he clearly thinks he can fire despite wearing an eye patch, which undoubtedly fucks with his depth perception) while Mrs Bugg has a hook for a hand, which goes nicely with her peg leg.

The text reads: “Pirates of Bugzans.”
