What, like all the time machines? Isn’t one enough?

Also: FABULOUS tie-dye shirt, Mr Bugg.

My love for Helena is not measurable with existing technology.

tramway

I love how the Buggs will just reach right past the actual meaning to find whatever loose connection will allow them to cosplay the thing they want to cosplay.

On the other hand, Dr. Bugg Who is pretty cool, so I can’t really blame them.

get in the tardis

That must have been the week the new season started? I can’t really remember it; therefore, it must have been a killer party.

That’s a good one, Buggs!

robugs

robug [click to embiggen]

I love how the Buggs just latch onto keywords like “BuggBC” and “science fiction” and “robugs” and never actually read deeper to make sure they’re cosplaying the right thing.

Because this show? Totally not Dr. Who.

Transcript:

Mr Bugg is wearing a bow tie and waving a glowing hand implement of some description. He is standing in front of a large, antennae’d police box, prepared to deal with Mrs Bugg, who has the metal body and limbs and terrifying expression of a huge robug. She’s managed to keep her boots, though.

The text reads: “Febuggary 11, 1938: BuggBC produces the first ever scifi televison program that coined the term ‘robug’.”

no ordinary police box

police box

Because that Saturday was the 50th anniversary special, and they had to give it back, I’m guessing.

Transcript:

Mr and Mrs Bugg are standing on either side of an antennae’d police box, with a bank of windows near the top of the doors and a light on the roof. Mr Bugg is rocking a fez and a bow tie, while Mrs Bugg is resplendent in her normal bow. They are both gesturing grandly towards the police box.

The text reads: “Come play in our Tardis … until Saturday.”

and no shock jocks, apparently

no dr bugg

Although, really, it was the twenties. How shocking could they have been?

“We’ve got a girl in the studio … I can see her knees!”

Transcript:

Mr and Mrs Bugg are holding hands, standing in front of a broadcasting radio antenna. They have identical looks of bereft sadness, and their thought bubbles contain only a question mark, to indicate their complete lack of the idea for Dr Bugg.

The text reads : “Novembug 15, 1926: NBugC starts broadcasting. Sadly, they do not have Doctor Bugg.”

radio bugg one

radio one

Were they really thinking about Dr. Who already? Apparently the Bugg analog to the Beeb was.

Transcript:

Mr and Mrs Bugg are standing next to a huge, broadcasting radio antenna. They each have a hand in the air, one to their mouth in pensive contemplation, and a thought bubble: Mr Bugg is thinking of a police box with antennae, and Mrs Bugg is thinking of a bugg with a glowing hand tool.

The text reads: “Novembug 14, 1922: The Bugg Broadcasting Company (BBC) begins broadcasting in the United Buggdom.

timebuggs

timebuggs

It’s important to round out a busy day of phone testing with some nice, relaxing cosplay.

Transcript:

Mr Bugg is wearing a bow tie, because they’re cool. He’s holding a glowing sonic screwdriver, and standing in front of an antennae’d phone box that is not all it seems to be, I strongly suspect. On the other side of the phone box, Mrs Bugg is wearing a skirt and her usual bow, and her hand is pressed to her mouth, either in delight, or to stifle her scream of horror at something we cannot yet see.

The text reads: “And then some cozplay with a sonic screwdriver.”
